On October 2nd, 2026, MetaZoo treated fans to the Announcement Stream for a new mini set and comic! ‘Escape Polybius’ is MetaZoo’s first Limited Release set, taking its characters on an adventure outside the main lore. The comic is the first issue of the ‘MetaZoo Short Adventures’ series. A standard and, blank-cover edition was printed. PONCHO and Seb did the card art; the story is credited to Ben Young!
Escape Polybius
– Products will be available on the MetaZoo Shop for 2 weeks or while supplies last. Each blister pack includes a promo, a pack of 4 cards, and a social media code card. The set includes at least 17 cards.
– Online Polybius Arcade Game was also found. Rewards for goal scores include spoiled card images and 10% off Escape Polybius products in the shop!
– Blister Packs are listed for $9.99 with a free comic for 10 or more packs purchased. The comic is listed for $19.99.
– The blank variant of the cover was given to PONCHO to illustrate and sell at his discretion.
– Open to creating a full Cyber Cryptid set in the future if interest and community support for the set is high.
MetaZoo Hour
After sharing details on the Polybius release, Zack (GemMintMetaZoo) continued by answering questions and spoiling new card images from the upcoming set Cosmic Conquest!
– Main lore will be offered as a Manga Series via the website as part of the MetaZoo Collected Destinies Series. Release is waiting for consistent, ongoing content to be available at a monthly rate, not rushing or shortening the process.
– Additional Stories will be told in ‘MetaZoo Short Adventures’ western-style comic books with Limited Release card sets.
– MetaTwo is officially the sole publisher of MetaZoo IP content and products.
– Remaining ‘2025 Event Promos’ and ‘Convention Set’ cards are now at MetaTwo HQ to be scheduled for destruction.
– MetaTwo’s Inventory for Secret Shadows Booster Boxes is Sold Out.
– GameQubator Labs purchased unreleased blister packages and promos. MetaTwo plans to pack these with Base, Tides, and Shadows booster packs that were set aside. These will be sold on the Official MetaZoo TCG Shop when available.
– Yokai Rising still scheduled for a Mid-November Release. Content creators to receive early product.
– Art Contest set to be expanded to include more submissions in the set than planned. Contest is closed; semi-finalists to be announced 11/1; winners revealed 12/1!

– A few more weeks until Organized Play Beta is ready and applications are open to Local Game Shops. The leaderboard will reset after the official release, and prize packs will be available to earn from there after.
– Communication, content, and streams to increase leading up to new sets.
– Donavan, from GQL Learn to Play videos, has joined the team!
– Still considering how to include Classic MetaZoo Art in the New TCG game.
– Online Client is still in production, making sure the framework is solid to support the game going into the future.
– Travel is taxing on the team; it’s important to focus on core company functions until there is more staff and sales in the future.
– Sleeves and Binders are on the way.

Cosmic Conquest
– On track for December Release. 100+ pages of lore in the works to support the set. Product will arrive in waves. New Printer to improve card quality.
– Cards were spoiled during Steam and can be seen below. Conquest features fewer cards than past sets.
– Working on TCGplayer and WhatNot Release Event support.
– Planned ‘Live Sale Steamer’ cold foil stamped cards for Cosmic Conquest will be given to those who purchase product through the streaming partner program. Other surprises in-store for the Live Stream SKU as well.
– Print run significantly shorter than Cosmic Conquest. Direct-to-Consumer, LGS Partners, and Live Stream sale channels planned.
– Blister in the works for Cosmic Conquest, possible to include Base or Tides packs.
